MAN'S ON CONTROL
We are proud to announce that our next release will be a limited edition CD of material from 80's experimental unit Man's On Control.
The members of M.O.C. are pouring through surviving recordings and inform us that the comprehensive CD will include live material as well as studio manipulations and cut-ups. The latter were originally accomplished via two-track cassette and reflect a rudimentary approach to sound manipulation and sampling. The live recordings demonstrate nascent sound makers gleefully disregarding prosaic notions of musicianship, spurred by spirits evoked by the Destroy All Music festival and (WREK)radio program of the time.
Man's On Control operated in Atlanta, Georgia from 1988-1990. No photographs or video recordings of the unit are known to exist.
